I had a lot of trouble with this project. First we had to make the figure/sculture out of blue insulation foam with a spur on top and sand it as smooth as you can. Then you pack it into aluminum #10 cans with packed sand. Once you pack the sand then we pour melted down aluminum into the cans. The blue foam melts away and replaces it with solid aluminum. Also at least one of the parts have to be smoothed down and polish (trust me it takes a long time until it's ready to be polished) The first image is the side that's polished.
Time: 15 hrs (more or less ... I don't even know) Medium: Alumimum and painted wooden base. |
